Infrastructure upgrades (CRITICAL)
Volt Foundry 10.0.7.0 will include updates to both the product and provisioning code to support the planned infrastructure upgrade, which involves migrating from MySQL 8.0.x to MySQL 8.4.x. This change is necessary as MySQL 8.0.x will reach end-of-support from AWS in July 2026.
As part of the release, all multi-tenant components (including Identity, Engagement, Console, etc.) will be automatically migrated to MySQL 8.4.x on the release date.
For single-tenant runtimes (App Services), as well as any supplemental database space provisioned on the instance, the migration to MySQL 8.4.x will be performed on a per-request basis. We kindly request that you open a support case at your earliest convenience to schedule your upgrade.
Please also note that any environment provisioned after May 25, 2026, will be created with MySQL 8.4.x by default, and this will be mandatory for all new environments.
Downtime is possible for the impacted Cloud services while this maintenance is being performed. The scheduled maintenance is designed to mitigate disruptions to service availability and performance for the impacted Cloud services. However, it is possible for the impacted Cloud services to be unavailable and/or performance degraded for a short period of time during the maintenance window. Note that no changes are being applied for other Cloud services outside of the list of impacted services above and no service availability or performance disruption is expected for other Cloud services.
